Am I eligible to apply?
Please read through the specific criteria in the Wabash Valley Community Foundation scholarship application to see if you are eligible to apply. If you have questions about the application process, please see your guidance counselor.

What can scholarship awards be used for?
The scholarships are for educational expenses including tuition, required fees, room, and board.

Will a scholarship pay the cost of my college education?
No. These scholarships are intended to provide only partial support. In addition to applying for scholarships through the Foundation, you should look into other financial aid resources such as federal grants, loans and work-study awards. Your college's financial aid office can provide you with additional information. Also, please see other helpful Links for Students.

If I am awarded a scholarship, how much will I get?
Only a few of the scholarship funds have set award amounts. Most funds offer varying award amounts, which range from $100 to several thousand dollars. Awards depend on the size of the particular fund and the number of qualified applicants. Award amounts may vary from year to year.

Where can I go to school?
Most of the scholarships are for students attending schools anywhere in the United States, unless otherwise noted under the scholarship description. Some scholarships are designated for students attending an Indiana institution.

May I receive awards from more than one scholarship?
Yes, you may apply to all the funds for which you are eligible, and it is possible to receive multiple awards.

What is the timeline for scholarship decisions and notification?
Selection committees meet and select recipients during April and May. All applicants are notified about committees' decisions. Recipients must submit scholarship acceptance agreements, a photo, and a thank you note. Checks are distributed directly to the college or university students plan to attend in early August and copies of payment letters are sent to recipients for their records.
