Scholarships: How to Apply

The 2018-19 scholarship application for Clay, Sullivan and Vigo Counties is anticipated to be available beginning July 12, 2017. The deadline to complete the application will be at 2:00 PM on August 23, 2017.

Following are the dates on which Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship interviews will be held.  There will be NO ALTERNATE DATES made available. 

  • Clay County interviews:  TBD
  • Sullivan County interviews: TBD
  • Vigo County interviews: TBD

Medical Education Scholarships
If you are a resident of Sullivan County, you may be eligible for the Medical Education Scholarships. These opportunities are available for current medical students who have graduated from a Sullivan County high school; or are residents of Sullivan County; or who intend to practice medicine in Sullivan County. These scholarship opportunities are available in the Community Foundation's common application referenced above.

Catherine Elizabeth Grimes Memorial Scholarship
The Catherine Elizabeth Grimes Memorial Fund was established at the Wabash Valley Community Foundation in support of a scholarship to benefit outstanding female student athletes at Terre Haute North Vigo High School who embody the spirit and determination with which Cathy lived her life.
Application deadline is February 1, 2018.

Job and Career Fund: How to apply
If you are a resident of Sullivan County, you may be eligible for the funding from the Job and Career Fund. For those needing financial assistance, this fund can assist with registration fees, books, tuition, skill enhancement courses, GED expenses, trade school or vocational school or a two year college program. Funding ranges from $50 to $500.
